1975 Essex Catholic Varsity Baseball Greater Newark Tournament Champions 50th Anniversary

The 1975 Essex Catholic Varsity Baseball Team captured the only Greater Newark Tournament Championship in our school’s history. On the 50th anniversary of their triumph, the team was honored at Goeltz Field in Verona prior to the 2025 Championship game. A luncheon followed at the Franklin Steakhouse in Fairfield. All but three members of the 1975 team were in attendance, in addition to Coach Dennis Sasso.
