Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The greater Essex Catholic community is invited to gather in the magnificent Rotunda of our school’s home from its founding in 1957 to 1980: 300 Broadway in Newark, N.J. Whether your memories of Essex Catholic were formed there, or if you’re one of our 1981-2003 graduates from the East Orange location, don’t miss this annual opportunity to gather with fellow alumni and friends for a very special evening, and help support Cristo Rey Newark, our adopted high school.

Enjoy craft beer courtesy of Jersey Girl Brewing Co., wine courtesy of McGovern’s Tavern (owned by Sean McGovern ’84, and home to Essex Catholic’s immense collection of athletic trophies),  light food (not traditional Essex Catholic cafeteria food!), and a tour of the building. Yes, you can ride an elevator without a pass, without risking Judgement Under God (“Jug”) to see the beautifully restored and functional third floor ballroom!

Minimum donation of only $25 (but feel free, of course, to contribute more!). Cash or check (payable to Essex Catholic High School Foundation Inc.) at the door. All proceeds go to support Cristo Rey Newark.

This event is hosted by Broadway House For Continuing Care. Enter into the parking lot (our former athletic field) on Summer Avenue.
